Well I am pleased to announce that the benefit my girlfriend Tina and I headed has raised $91, 627.00 and donations are still rolling in! On March 27th. our friend was diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer. Tina and I were approached by many community members who wanted to do something for Scott. We decided to open an account at a local bank for monetary donations. Once word of the account spread,we decided to organize a benefit in his honor. And what a benefit it was. We had an amazing group of volunteers who gave and gave of themselves! We were able to pull the event off with about 6-7 weeks of planning. We estimate around 800 people came out to show their support. We had raffles, a silent and live auction and a local band play at the benefit. It was a complete success and we are so pleased with the turnout! The best part however was when we got to present Scott with the total we raised! He was speechless!!! I must admit I am on cloud nine! It is truly an amazing feeling to give back to one of our own!!!
